The Bhopal School of Social Science (popularly known as BSSS) is located in the city of lakes, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The college was was established in 1972. It is an autonomous college and accredited “A+” grade by NAAC.

NCC in BSSS College commenced in the year 2004-05 with 15 cadets. But in the year 2017 the college’s NCC took a subtle turn when SUO Mujeeb Khan (2017-18) put forward the idea of BSSS NCC which cherished the aims of the National Cadet Corps and parellely producing highly efficient cadets.

The Creation

The batch of 2015 dreamed of a company which should be more structured in working, more motivated and skilled with training and is a family more than a team of 107 whose roots and branches keeps on growing with the succeeding batch that would enroll every new year and the fruits of opportunities and learning are open to all. On 18 September 2017 after the first beating the retreat the Ubuntu philosophy of ” I Am Because We Are” and the journey towards the dream of BSSS NCC was set forth.

A Turn to Reality

On 6th October 2018 SUO Harsh Chaturvedi lead ‘Aarambh 2018 – Beating the Retreat’ which was witnessed by the Bhopal Group Commander Anil Hooda, when the Drill Square ‘Shaurya Path’ was inaugurated. This turn marked a subtle change in the history of BSSS NCC which is now inscribed on the heart of each and every cadet. BSSS NCC from that very day isn’t a name, it’s an emotion.

As a Pillar of College

When it comes to the legacy of the Bhopal School of Social Sciences, the flag remains flying at the toppest notch with the efforts of the most reverend Dr. Father John P.J. and the teaching and managing staff of BSSS. But the flag is held with the firm strings of the NCC of BSSS College. Whenever and wherever BSSS puts forward the showcase, it signifies the strength of its NCC and keeps it at the foremost view. BSSS proudly takes its NCC as a feather of it’s hat and helps to build a better NCC everyday by providing heavy infrastructural base of the college premises.

For the Cadets

With a vision of achieving great grandeur along with hopes in the heart, the COY of BSSS NCC set another milestone by inaugurating its own firing range named in the memory of REV. FR Stanislaus Paul. Hence the visionary is to be called – “Rev. Fr. Stanislaus Paul Memorial Small Arm NCC Firing Range.”

It is one of the transformative steps in the history of BSSS NCC as the consistent efforts and dedication of the coy was devised. As weapon training is a part of NCC exercise which is provided to every cadet so the sole aim for establishing this firing range to furnish cadets in weapon training and to remove the fear of firearms.

The Bhopal School of Social Sciences has been affiliated with National Cadet Corps 4 MP BN NCC Bhopal since year 2004-05. However from 2013-14 the platoon took a new direction to reach the pinnacle of achievements and took the form of the BSSS NCC in the on 6 October 2018. We are a proud company of 107 Army Wing Cadets.
